Hi guys! I’m doing a different type of post today. I’ve been listening to a lot of science podcasts recently, and I decided to share some of my favorites with you.
Science Diction explores different words and phrases that can be connected to science. Some are common, some are not, but all have amazing stories that lead to surprising knowledge.
While I have only listened to a few episodes so far, it is a well researched and entertaining show overall.
Overheard is a National Geographic podcast that dives into topics from around the world. Each episode features a different topic, going deep into the amazing stories that National Geographic unearths.
The topics might seem random, but they are extremely engaging, and I have found myself getting hooked with this podcast.
Each episode, Science Vs. pits a trends, opinions and practices against science, exploring both sides of the issue. Science Vs. creates a place where you can easily see both sides and listen to researchers and people involved in simply segmented episodes.
The NOAA Ocean Podcast
This NOAA podcast might be a bit specific for you, but it discusses a new, marine biology related topic in each episode. It is more strictly information based than some of the other podcasts on this list, but it is fascinating to get the facts about ocean welfare from people who are working there today.
The BBC Earth podcast covers topics from around the world, much like the shows they’ve released. It’s interesting to learn about seemingly random topics that they bring up and find out the relevance they have to our world today. It’s truly eye opening, and makes you feel like you’re exploring the world with them.
I hope you enjoyed these recommendations. Do you like listening to science podcasts? What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
